The Baroque ensemble “Les Promenades” was born in 2020 in Luxembourg. It features Irina Kalderon (soprano), Laurie Krier (recorder) and Geert Hellemans (cembalo). The ensemble collaborates with many Baroque musicians in Luxembourg and across Europe. Their repertoire spans André Campra, Antoine Dard, G.Ph. Telemann, J.S. Bach, François Couperin, M.-A. Charpentier, Henry Purcell, Barbara Strozzi, Etorre Bernabei, J.Ph. Rameau, Claudio Monteverdi, Francesco Cavalli, Luigi Rossi, G.F. Händel, Pietro Torri, Alessandro Scarlatti, Bonifazio Graziani and others.
Irina has performed opera roles including La fée, le Rossignol and la Bergère (L’enfant et les sortilèges), Carolina (Il matrimonio segreto), Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Sandrina (La finta giardiniera), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Norina (Don Pasquale), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) and Calisto (La Calisto). In 2025 she takes part in Dido and Aeneas (Belinda) in London, L’incornazione di Poppea (Drusilla) in France and L’enfant et les sortilèges in Luxembourg.
Irina is the co-founder of the Baroque ensemble “Les Duchesses”, specializing in Baroque music. She is also the conductor of the Bulgarian children choir in Luxembourg Kosse-Bosse
